ARTZ 245 - Intermediate Glassblowing and Sculpting 4 Credit(s) This course provides the student a deeper look into technical and conceptual refinement within contemporary glass working methods, both sculpturally and blown forms in the off -hand method. Students will be assessed by the proficiency they evidence in their artworks, thoughtful research that informs their work, and commitment to excellent craftsmanship, composition, form and content. The course will build on the students’ knowledge base acquired in the 100 level course(s), and will add the use of a hand torch and garage to the students’ repertoire in order to combine the precision and detail of the torch with the ability to construct more intricate and unique works with the introduction of the garage. $125 course fee
