GEO 226 - Rocks, Minerals, & Resources 4 Credit(s) This course covers the fundamentals of mineralogy followed by a thorough review of the classification and formation of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. Emphasis on the tectonic environments of rock and mineral formation, and on rocks and minerals as human resources. Rock and mineral identification will focus on hand-samples. $100 Course Fee.
Prerequisite(s): GEO 101 or GEO 103 ; or GEO 107 and either CHMY 121 or CHMY 141 ; or c/i. (spring)
