NOTE: Credit for M 090  and M 095  is not applicable to graduation; credit may not count as part of load for financial aid purposes; credit may not count as part of load for eligibility purposes. Grades, honor/grade points, or credits for M 090  and M 095  are not used in calculation of the GPA.

All mathematics courses beyond M 095  satisfy the Mathematic General Education requirement

Math Standard: At least one of the following must be met to place directly into most 100-level math courses.

  • M 095  grade C- or higher
  • C- or higher in any MATH or STAT 100 level (or higher course) except M 127  and M 105  
  • Score of 22 or higher on the Math section of the ACT
  • Score of 550 or higher on the Math section of the SAT
  • Score of 3 or higher in AP Math, 4 or higher in IB Math, or 50 or higher in certain CLEP Math
  • Consent of instructor (c/i)

Math Placement Standard: At least one of the following must be met to place directly into M 095  , M 127  , and M 105  

  • M 090   grade B- or higher for M 127  , and M 105  ; M 095   grade C- or higher for M 095  .
  • C- or higher in M 095   for M 127   and M 105  .
  • Score of 18 or higher on the Math section of the ACT
  • Score of 480 or higher on the Math section of the SAT
  • Consent of instructor (c/i)
