ENST 384 - Environmental Policy 4 Credit(s) Policies, including formal laws and informal institutions and practices, shape the way we live. When it comes to the environment, polices shape how we use the land and its resources and the impacts that we as humans have on the natural environment. This course offers an introduction to the history and development of U.S. (and some international) environmental policies. Environmental policy topics may include wilderness, public lands, clean air and water, waste management, or energy development. In this course you will be learning about the important role of actors, institutions, and debates shaping environmental problems and policies and you will be debating and working to inform real-world policy.
