Introduction to theatrical makeup and design that covers basic principles, safety and hygiene, and application techniques. Explores basic contour, facial structure, aging, prosthetics, bruising, and character formation through modeling and stylization. Students will have the opportunity to problem-solve and experientially engage with various make-up styles through tutorials, revisions, and in-class feedback sessions. The work in this course will culminate in a finalized picture portfolio. There is no textbook required, instead, students must purchase a stage makeup kit prior to the first day. $40
