M 210 - Introduction to Mathematical Software 4 Credit(s) This course is designed to provide students with basic computer skills that are applicable to the mathematical sciences. This will include programming in matrix-vector based languages such as MATLAB or OCTAVE and typesetting mathematical writing with the aid of LATEX. It is strongly recommended that students enrolling in M210 have access to a laptop or desktop computer that is capable or running the current versions of MATLAB and LATEX outside of class. Students should strongly consider purchasing a student license for MATLAB (LATEX is free software).
Prerequisite(s): STAT 121 grade B- or higher; or c/i. (fall)
