ARTZ 246 - Intermediate Flame Working 4 Credit(s) This course will focus on using borosilicate for an artistic application. The students will learn how to use tubing to blow glass by pulling points. They will also work with glass rods and color to make solid work such as implosion marbles, sculpture and lattice built structures. Their ability to allow their ideas to form glass will provide a path towards unique conceptually and technically sound artworks. Students will be assessed by the proficiency they evidence in their artworks, thoughtful research that informs their work, and commitment to excellent craftsmanship, composition, form and content. $160 course fee
