KIN 490 - Undergraduate ResearchV 1-5 Credit(s) As a capstone experience within the discipline of Kinesiology, the creation of original research transitions students from the role of learning content to applying it in a concerted effort to generate new understanding of scientific ideas. This course is designed to guide students in the pursuit of their own research, in a disciplinarily-appropriate investigative approach. Students will explore ethical issues and guidelines that keep research safe and valid; formally propose a unique and valuable original investigation in detail; collect, process, and analyze related data; and generate a disciplinary-specific report or presentation for dissemination to appropriate audiences. These assignments and responsibilities will be evaluated by the faculty advisor using a pass/fail grading system. Prerequisites: c/i, c/dc (fall/spring, summer on-demand)
