EDU 494 - Teacher Work Sample

This course aligns with student teaching as a capstone experience requiring students to design, implement, and analyze instruction. Candidates apply the content knowledge and pedagogical skills they have learned during their programs of study by creating a teaching/learning unit based upon the Montana K-12 Content Standards. During and after implementation of the unit, candidates respond to and reflect upon their students’ progress, using a teacher work sample (TWS)—a performance-based assessment. A standardized rubric is used to assess the TWS. (fall/spring)
