BIOH 221 - Human Anatomy with Lab 4 Credit(s) This lab intensive course will give students an understanding of the structure, three-dimensional relationships, and hierarchical organization of the human body based on the dissection of model organisms. Students will become proficient in anatomical terminology and in foundational anatomy from cell to tissue of major organ systems (e.g., integumentary, cardiovascular, muscular, nervous, renal, digestive, endocrine, and reproductive systems). Students will also master surface anatomy of the human body with supplemental instruction based on domestic mammals. Assessments will consist of a mixture of essay and practical exams. This course is ideal for students intending to pursue a career in human health professions (e.g., medical, nursing, or physical therapy), veterinary medicine, or secondary education in biology. Lab included. $100 Course Fee. Prerequisite(s): Grade C- or higher in BIOB 160 and in any 100-level Math course; or c/i. (fall) $100
