GEO 226 - Rocks, Minerals, & Resources 4 Credit(s) This field-and-lab-based course covers the fundamentals of mineralogy followed by a thorough review of the classification and formation of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. Emphasis on the tectonic environments of rock and mineral formation, and on rocks and minerals as human resources. Rock and mineral identification will focus on hand-samples. $100 Course Fee.
Prerequisite(s): Any GEO 101-194 and CHMY 121 or CHMY 141 , or c/i (spring)
