Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be familiar with polar, spherical, and cylindrical coordinates; parametric curves; vectors in the plane and space; differentiation and integration of functions of several variables; and applications. The student should exhibit competence in using differentiation and integration to solve problems of motion and force and in implementing different coordinate systems. The student will demonstrate the ability to reason, visualize in space, implement appropriate technologies, and communicate using mathematical terminology.
Prerequisite(s): M 172 grade B- or higher; or c/i. (spring)
