Program Mission Statement

The mission of the BA Psychology degree program is to offer students a broadly based curriculum that will serve as a foundation for continued studies in psychology or the behavioral sciences, or for related professional programs. 

Graduate Outcomes

  • Graduates will demonstrate discipline-specific knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Graduates will possess oral and written communication skills.
  • Graduates will demonstrate the ability to think logically and critically, while suspending judgment and evaluating what one should believe.

Assessment

Discipline-specific knowledge will be assessed through the Psychology Area Concentration Achievement Test and critical thinking skills will be assessed with the CCTT-Z.  Oral and written communication skills will be assessed at the end of students’ capstone experience coursework.  The assessment plan for the BA degree in Psychology is available through the department.

Select any one from the following ISS Minors. Students may select a non-ISS Minor by department permission only.

Choose elective credits from any college-level catalog courses to bring degree total to 120.
