HEE 308 - Methods of Physical Education K-12 4 Credit(s) Upon completion of this course, students will demonstrate competence in the specific planning, organizing, and teaching considerations of physical education. Teaching methods, organization and group processes, safety and security requirements, maturational considerations, sequences in a variety of instructionally and developmentally appropriate activities, assessment, and management techniques will be experienced and applied. Students will gain experience writing developmentally and culturally appropriate lesson plans for teaching activities outlined in the Montana Physical Education Standards. A course practicum will allow application of theory through a field experience in the school setting. Students will demonstrate competence through class assignments, examinations, microteaching, and other projects.
Prerequisite(s): HEE 340 or c/i Block 4/Block 8 and online fall/spring
